Understanding yourself to build the life you want

Understanding yourself changes how you live.

Practical psychology to help you understand yourself, build healthier relationships, and create a life that feels meaningful to you.

A warm space by a window, with an open journal, a cup of coffee, and a candle — an invitation to pause and reflect.

A space to look at your experience with more clarity, curiosity, and tools.

Psychology for real life

Psychology doesn't have to stay in a therapy room.

It can also help you understand why you think the way you do, why you repeat certain patterns, how you relate to others, what you do with your emotions, and what you need to build a different life. I offer this kind of work through individual therapy and psychoeducational resources.

About me

Hi, I'm Gabriela.

Psychologist · Cognitive-Behavioral Approach · Mexico

I'm a psychologist and the creator of The Story You Tell Yourself, a collection of psychoeducational tools inspired by the questions and patterns I encounter again and again in my work. My practice is grounded in the cognitive-behavioral approach — not just understanding what's happening to us, but also observing our thoughts, questioning what we've learned, and practicing new ways of relating to ourselves.

I wanted to create a space you can return to whenever you need it, with questions, exercises, and tools to pause, observe yourself, and better understand what's happening inside you — not to tell you who you should be.

My goal isn't to tell you how to live. It's to help you understand yourself better so you can make more conscious decisions about how you want to live.

Work with me

Individual Therapy

A space to understand what you're going through, identify patterns, and develop tools you can apply in your everyday life.

How I Work

My approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy. In sessions, we work to understand what's happening, identify patterns in the way you think, feel, and behave that may be influencing what you're experiencing, and develop strategies that make sense for you.

The process is collaborative. You know your story better than anyone; my role is to help you look at it from new angles, identify patterns, and turn what we discover into practical tools.

We can work on things like:

  • Self-esteem
  • Self-criticism
  • Anxiety
  • Overthinking
  • Relationships
  • Boundaries
  • Attachment
  • Emotional regulation
  • Decision-making
  • Major life changes

Does any of this sound like you?

  • You feel like you overthink everything and can't switch your mind off.
  • You're very hard on yourself.
  • You keep repeating relationship patterns you don't understand.
  • You know rationally what you should do, but you struggle to put it into practice.

First session

Initial exploration and goal-setting

You don't need to have it all figured out.

You don't need a diagnosis, a clear idea of what to work on, or the perfect words to explain what you're going through. If you know something isn't working the way you'd like, or that you're repeating patterns you don't understand, we can start from there.

What can I expect from the first session?
01

We get to know what's going on

We talk about what led you to seek support and what's currently affecting your wellbeing.

02

We put things into context

We explore relevant parts of your history, relationships, thoughts, emotions, and current situation.

03

We define what you want to work on

You don't need to arrive with a diagnosis or know exactly what's wrong — figuring that out together is part of the process.

04

We create a plan

Based on what we find, we set goals and a way of working that fits you.

Now that you know how I work, book your first session.
